Gilded Wooden Tabernacle

Wood, Metal, Brass
Two-tone, Gold
The term tabernacle comes from late latin tabernaculum, which means curtain. This as well comes from taberna, which means “little house composed by wooden boards (tabellae)”.The tabernacle is the most important place of the church, as it holds the Holy Body of Christ. It represents God’s House and for that reason it must be characteristic, peculiar, beautiful and realized with good materials and refined technique.

Metallic parts of tabernacles are externally painted with Vitrex, a transparent film to protect the finiture from fingerprints, dust and moisture.
