Brass Monstrance with Swarovski

The word monstrance comes from the latin word “ostendere”, which means to show.
Both the monstrance and the little shrine have the function to show the Holy Host during the adoration and the eucharistic blessing. They both come from the introduction of Corpus Domini celebrations. The monstrance finishing can be silver, gold or two-tone. Pyxes and monstrances are a perfect combination between the Italian craftsmanship and modernity.
Swarovski crystals can also be used, in order to embellisha a pyx or a monstrance.
Pyx and monstrance are externally painted with Vitrex, a transparent film to protect the finiture from fingerprints, dust and moisture.
