Ointments and oils from the Bible born from the desire to combine spirituality, which strongly imbues our lives, with perfume, which is simply beauty, something extra that adds harmony to life. In ancient times, the earliest forms of perfume were found in unguents, consisting of oils and waxes, enriched with essential oils, resins, herbs, and spices. They were an effective form of releasing scent in a prolonged manner on the skin, had beneficial properties to a person’s health and mental and physical well-being, and were part of religious or ceremonial rituals. Our unguents are made with beeswax, known for its moisturizing, protective, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties on the skin; sweet almond oil, with moisturizing, soothing and nourishing properties; and vitamin E, antioxidant, moisturizing and anti-aging.
Studying and reimagining these ancient preparations allows us to reconnect with tradition and rediscover a beauty that reflects the divine—a beauty that echoes the splendor of the Creator.
