Here a short list of the main Marian feasts celebrated according to the Christian liturgical calendar. Each celebration corresponds to a moment of connection.
The Virgin Mary has always held a central role in the Catholic tradition. That brought to have a calendar full of feasts dedicated to her figure. - January 1 - Mary Most Holy Mother of God (solemnity)
This occasion highlights the divine motherhood of Mary, mother of Jesus. - March 25 - Annunciation of the Lord (solemnity)
This is both a Christological and Marian feast. An event that recalls the moment when the archangel Gabriel announced to Mary the future birth of Christ. - May 31 - Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (feast)
It celebrates Mary's visit to her cousin Elizabeth, who is expecting John the Baptist - August 15 - Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (solemnity)
Solemnity among the best known. It celebrates Mary's entry into heaven, both in soul and body. A foretaste of the resurrection promised to all the faithful. - September 8 - Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (feast)
Date on which we commemorate the birth of Our Lady, a symbol of hope. - Sept. 15 - Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows (memorial)
Commemoration of Mary's sorrows under the cross of Christ. - Nov. 21 - Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Temple (memorial)
On this occasion the consecration of Mary to God is commemorated. - December 8 - Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (solemnity)
Event celebrating the dogma that Mary was conceived without original sin. It is one of the most important Marian feasts remembered by the faithful.
