Restoration of a Processional Standars with Double Face

Processional standard with double face of the 19th century, made in two
colors.
The Marian side A in faded blue silk satin houses a central painting depicting the Virgin,
while on the side B, in beige color, San Giacomo Maggiore and Santa Rosa da Lima are
depicted.

The work, in a precarious state of conservation, has been subjected to a scrupulous and
accurate restoration, divided into the following steps:
- ASPIRATION and elimination of the particle deposit on the front and back of all
the fabrics
- CLEANING of fabrics, embroidery, fringes, braids and metallic yarns
- VAPORIZATION
- CONSOLIDATION of fabrics, suspension, fringes, braids, rod and painted parts
